Ever since the first days of jailbreaking, among the most popular reasons to hack an iPhone was to allow playing of items like GBA, NDS or PS games through emulators. Among the most popular emulators has been GBA4iOS, allowing iPhone and iPad owners to play Game Boy Advance games on their mobile devices. GBA4iOS historically didn’t demand a jailbroken device to operate; rather it used signed business certificates to permit users to set up the emulator.
Unfortunately, Apple revoked all such certificates fairly fast, but a new model of GBA4iOS is currently available. And the great thing is that today you can sideload it to the device with a free programmer certificate. Users could acquire GBA4iOS onto their iOS device without jailbreaking it by placing the iPhone’s date back to 2012, but even a 2.0 upgrade to the software made it easier to set up the emulator and eliminated that requirement.
